1.1 Background of the Study
Crisis management is an integral aspect of public relations (PR), particularly during events where unforeseen challenges can arise. In Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, PR strategies are employed to mitigate risks, address crises, and ensure the smooth execution of events. Effective crisis management involves proactive planning, timely communication, and stakeholder engagement to minimize the impact of disruptions on an event's success. According to Musa and Adewale (2023), PR plays a pivotal role in maintaining public confidence and protecting organizational reputations during crises. However, the effectiveness of PR in managing crises during events in Yola North remains underexplored, particularly in the context of local socio-economic and cultural dynamics.
